InSEA Manifesto statement
The Advocacy & Networking Board (A&N Board) is comprised of volunteers from world council (elected members).
InSEA has established active networks with national and international organisations. Through these networks, InSEA had been exchanging ideas and views as well as supporting art educators to enrich the quality of creative thinking.
Advocacy is an important area of activity for the Society.
InSEA makes continuous efforts to represent and advocate for, art teachers and educators at national and international levels. Conferences, Seminars, art projects and international events for arts education (for example the UNESCO Arts Education Week) around the world help ensure that InSEA members are visible, valued and connected.
The Networking & Advocacy board meets every 4 months, using video conferencing, to revise what has been done and to create and update plans for the future in line with the Strategic Plan of InSEA.
Priorities / Tasks
Increase the visibility of best practice in visual arts education (for example by ensuring that student exhibitions receive as wide an audience as possible, source and promote materials that advocate of the power of art education.
Actively promote the international celebration of education through art, for example by soliciting and publishing white papers, advocacy and position papers.
