The International Society for Education Through Art- InSEA is a worldwide organization guided by the belief that visual arts in its many manifestations are essential to human life and learning. InSEA members, since the foundation in 1954, had worked hard advocating for a place of the arts in educational contexts. We are a strong community of researchers and practitioners, artists; teachers in schools and universities; educators in communities; museums and cultural centers. And today we are proud to say that, art education is a recognized field for research and praxis in many countries. However, we need to be attentive to the challenges of our time , and constantly revisit the reasons why visual arts education can fit the priorities of our societies and respond to long term social and environmental goals.
