Privacy Policy

The International Society for Education through Art (InSEA) places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy was created in order to demonstrate the Society’s commitment to the privacy of our members and website users. This policy explains what types of information is collected by the InSEA' website www.insea.org, and how this information is used.

Who we are

Our website address is: http://insea.org. We are a nonprofit international, non-governmental organisation and official partner of UNESCO.

What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected

InSEA members that register for www.insea.org and individuals that sign up to receive our e-news voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name and e-mail address). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes, but mainly to provide you with the regular members’ e-news.  You may always "opt out," either now or at any time in the future, if you do not wish to receive our messages.

Cookies

www.insea.org uses "cookie" messages to automatically help provide better services. They remind us who you are and your preferences for our website based on what you've done and told us before. The "cookie" is placed in your computer and is read when you come back to our website. Cookies let us take you to the information and features you're particularly interested in. They also let us track your usage of our website so we know which parts of our sites are most popular. You can reject cookies or cancel them by instructing your Web browser accordingly.

How Your Information May Be Used

We use your personal information to provide you with personalized service; to send e-mail alerts to you; to answer your requests; to process your membership application; etc. You may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease all communications from us. We may also use your information to track visitor of our website. This lets us see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve our members' needs. It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally, but showing how many visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties.

Email Privacy

www.insea.org includes links to external websites. These links do not fall under the www.insea.org domain, and InSEA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of external websites. Your use of any linked website is solely at your own risk.

Who we share your data with

InSEA does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone outside the organization.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

If you have consented to our use of information about you for a specific purpose, you have the right to change your mind at any time, but this will not affect any processing that has already taken place. Where we are using your information because we or a third party (e.g. your employer) have a legitimate interest to do so, you have the right to object to that use though, in some cases, this may mean no longer using the Services.

How We Store and Secure the Information We Collect

We use data hosting service providers to host the information we collect, and we use technical measures to secure your data. While we implement safeguards designed to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable and due to the inherent nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that data, during transmission through the Internet or while stored on our systems or otherwise in our care, is absolutely safe from intrusion by others. We will respond to requests about this within a reasonable timeframe.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain your account information until you remain an InSEA member. Where we retain information for Service improvement and development, we take steps to eliminate information that directly identifies you, and we only use the information to uncover collective insights about the use of our Services, not to specifically analyze personal characteristics about you.

How to Access and Control Your Information

You can access and control your information on InSEA webpage , under the section : Myprofile.

Modifications

We may amend this privacy policy from time to time; please review it periodically. We maintain the option to modify this privacy at any time by electronic notice posted on our website. Your continued use of our website after the date that such notices are posted will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms.

Complaints

If you want to complain about our use of personal data, please send us an e-mail to admin@insea.org  with the details of your complaint. We will review and respond to any complaints we receive.

ART made of clay

At InSEA, we believe that art transforms people’s lives.

Gifts in Wills are an important and crucial source of funding, providing lasting support which will help to safeguard InSEA’s ability to enrich more people’s lives now and in the future. Remember InSEA in your will

There are many ways you can make a gift which is both simple and efficient:
Residuary: the amount left over after all other costs, for example, funeral expenses, have been deducted
Pecuniary: a fixed sum of money
Specific: a gift of a particular named item, for example, a painting, building or land
Reversionary: a gift to a loved one for use during his or her lifetime which can then be passed onto a specified charity after this time

Leaving a gift in your will is an effective lasting contribution without any immediate outlay. Legacies left to charities are free from inheritance tax, which means a legacy could result in your tax bill being reduced.

If you have already made a will, you can add an amendment, known as a codicil, which InSEA can provide for you. We do recommend that you consult with your legal advisor when deciding upon making a legacy.

By making a gift to InSEA, you are recognising the work that we do and the difference we make to people’s lives. No gift is too large or too small. Whatever the size, your gift can and will make a difference.

TALK TO US
Leaving a gift in your will is an important decision to make.

If you would like to find out more, or have an informal chat please contact the Treasurer, Secretary or President via the CONTACT US page.

Your gift will be treated with confidentiality and with sensitivity.

We hope to hear from you soon.
