Teaching contemporary art

As I set about designing and redesigning readings, seminars and workshops in the artist teacher studio for my Master of Teaching candidates in 2018, I am increasingly alert to the languages and theoretical positions that need to be used as lenses and frames for accessing contemporary global art works as artists and audiences. I am thinking about how art education needs to shift further as Paul Duncum, Olivia Guide and others urged to a more visual culture - visual art education and keen to see examples of elementary and secondary examples of what this looks like in the classroom.
