I am the new World Councillor (2019-2021) in Asia region of International Society for Education through Art (InSEA). I have attended and presented papers at regional and world congresses. Since 2015-2018, I am the principal investigator of Asia-Pacific Office for Aesthetic Education (APOAE) in National Academy for Educational Research(NAER), which is the partner of InSEA. APOAE research team has been engaged in long-term research for impact of aesthetic education, also built the national and international academic practice network. Besides, I am also the committee member of World Chinese Arts Education Association(WCAEA), which is also the partner of InSEA. I am working on the Arts and aesthetic projects for Grade 1-12 and promoting and networking with InSEA.
Aims As World Councillor(ASIA), I aim to: Promote small-scale, local, international events such as conference, seminars and workshops in Asia region. Motivate new, especially younger, artists/educators from Asia countries to join the society; Disseminate InSEA events and publishing books and journals to communities of Artists/ educators and related Societies in Asia and encourage to submit items to the International Journal of Education through Art.
I am currently the associate research fellow and the Director of the Research Center for Curriculum and Instruction of the National Academy for Educational Research, Taiwan. My Specialties and research interests include policy and practice of Arts and aesthetics education, art-based research, curriculum study and teacher professional development research.
I have attended and presented papers at many domestic, regional and international conferences.
In addition, I am working on the research and development of the Arts Curriculum Guideline of 12-Year Basic Education and supporting resources in Taiwan. Since 2015-2018, as the principal investigator of Asia-Pacific Office for Aesthetic Education ( APOAE), APOAE research team has been engaged in long-term research for impact of aesthetic education, also built the national and international academic practice networking, developed and executed aesthetic learning projects of experimental courses. From 2019, we are continue working on the Arts and aesthetic education policies and practice national and international cases study.
